A downloadable game

This homebrew game was written in C using Wonderful Toolchain! Check it out here: https://wonderful.asie.pl/

An experiment gone wrong has released a deluge of rogue quarks upon your laboratory! You must use your gluon divider to trap the bouncing quarks before they cause havoc.

  • X buttons (lower d-pad) move the cursor
  • B button rotates the divider
  • A button fires the divider lines
  • Start pauses the game

This is a Jezzball clone where the aim of the game is to trap the quarks by using the divider - each stage is won when at least 75% of the play area is made solid.

The divider lines will fire out in both directions either horizontally or vertically from the cursor and they will move until the edge of the screen or an existing solid area is hit. The divider line will become solid and any areas which don't contain a quark will also be filled in and become solid. If a divider line is hit by a quark, the line will be destroyed and you will lose a life.

There are 34 stages, each with an increasing number of quarks.

The game supports both black & white and colour/crystal WonderSwan consoles.

Use quarkpanic.wsc with WonderSwan emulators and flashcarts. Use quarkpanic.fx for WonderWitch

The game has been tested in the Mesen 2 and Ares emulators, and using the FlashMasta flashcart on hardware. Mesen 2 and Ares are recommended as other emulators may not be accurate enough!
